Calm Reflections

It was a very early start but well worth it. A great day spent with a very good friend and his dog, taking pictures in the sunshine what more could a man want.

Blot on the Landscape

On a recent trip to Scotland, I was amazes that you could be 1/2 hour amble from the main road and find all kinds of rubbish. This inspired me to produce this image, The plastic cup was spotted on my way to take the main image. I know this wont be to every ones taste. However why do people not care about the environment.

Age

If you were raised on meat & potatoes, your cot was covered with lead based paint, you rode a bike with no helmet on gravel roads, your parents had no child proof lids or seat belts in cars, you got a smack when you misbehaved, had 3 TV channels you had to get up to change, school always started with Assembly, shops closed on Sunday, if you drank water out of a hose and still turned out OK,

HDR Processing

Question is do you go for the little is a lot approach, or the OTT. Well those of you who know me will know that I would go for the OTT. well here it is. Your comments would be more than welcomed.

Dhanakosa

DSC_0029
Have just arrived back from a weeks retreat at Dhanakosa in Scotland. A week full of wonderment and excitement. Well those of you who know me will know how difficult it is for me to keep quiet. So you will be amazed to hear that I managed 12 hours per day of silence. And meditated for 3 hours a day.

I met 24 fantastic people and had the pleasure of learning some great photography skills. The above image was taken at 6.15 am on the first day. just a 5 min walk from the center.

It is also good to be back nothing like being in your own home. Looking forward to catching up with my friends at Oswestry Market.

Great Weather

What a fab day to amble along the Canal by The Queens Head, take a few snaps and soak up the sun.

Wednesday 23 March 2011

What a differance the sun makes.

It was just amazing walking around Oswestry today, and despite the long running road works. How many people were in the town today. Everyone seemed to be happy and the town and market had a real bustle to to it.

The outdoor market was full of stalls and a few that I have never seen before, and it was nice to see all the stalls open in the indoor market. As always nice to catch up with the lovely traders.

Productive Day's

Well to day has been a very productive day, have spent time catching up with friends and making arrangements to have coffee. Also Sorting through lots of old images and processing some of the better ones for the web site. Have also managed to get them put on as well.

Must confess though did spend a lot of time looking out of the window over the fields and enjoying the lovely weather. However I am sure it wont be long before people are saying "Mmmm about time we had some rain the gardens need it"

The above picture was taken a few weeks back in the grounds of Whittington Castle a great place to visit.

Well I thought I would have a lazy day, then decided to start processing a few of the many images I have taken over the past few weeks.

Of course once edited they just needed to be added to my stock section on my website.

Job done.

Why Oh Why

I was extremely upset to day to find out of a possible scam that happened yesterday in Oswestry. I cant believe that someone would claim to be doing a sponsored walk for a charity, and telling people that this person was driven to do this due to the loss of a sibling to an illness.

Well as I have experienced over the years Karma will indeed have a hand in the out come to this situation.

I would advise anyone in the future who is going to give to any charitable collectors to ask to see a) a document with the charity number on and 2) a Id card.
